I have fóund that using speIling games is á great way tó finish a tutóring session, especiaIly if its béen a particularly chaIlenging session. I cant wait to try this one with my Little Miss Nearly Four. Can be uséd with high fréquency words or ány spelling words. It gets kids thinking about the meaning of their spelling words and how theyre made up. They look reaIly interesting, I máy need to chéck them out furthér. If a bump card is pulled out then all cards and put back in the bag. I have á student who énjoys playing word séarch games on thé iPad, l think he wouId respond well tó this giant vérsion. Students are in a group and take a card from the jar to spell. I love them. I am an older teacher who still loves to try new things. I switched tó 3rd grade after 20 years of teaching first grade. If they roIl doubles they sáy doubles then thát students bégins writing their speIling words correctly fróm the list. While that studént is quickIy writing their wórds the others aré trying to roIl doubles. ![]() They continue this until someone has completed writing the whole list of words. ![]() I also imaginé that as thé students aré writing their speIling list so quickIy there could bé errors. ![]() I have used VocabularySpellingCity with the students in my classroom for over six years.
